India is becoming one of the world's most important outbound travel markets, with a premium segment growing faster than almost anywhere. Yet Japanese destinations and suppliers had few relationships with the Indian travel trade, limited readiness for vegetarian and Jain dining requirements, and little visibility among the agencies that shape where affluent Indian families travel.
We built the corridor from both ends: preparing Japanese destinations and suppliers for Indian guest expectations — dining maps, group handling, celebration travel — while running roadshows in Mumbai and Delhi to establish direct relationships with leading Indian travel agencies and corporate travel planners. Media and creator familiarization trips converted trade relationships into consumer demand.
A standing network of Indian travel trade partners, a Japan destination program designed for premium Indian travelers, and a growing bookings pipeline — establishing India as a strategic source market alongside the GCC in our tourism practice.
